Terms & Conditions

Purpose of This Agreement

The SOLE Institute Scholarship Program exists to support individuals with a genuine calling to the healing arts who may not have the financial means to participate. These terms help protect the integrity of the program, ensure fairness, and honor our community-supported scholarship funds.

1. Eligibility & Application Requirements

  • To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must:

  • Complete the full scholarship application honestly and accurately.

  • Demonstrate both financial need and personal intention for their training.

  • Be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment.

  • Commit to attending all class dates and completing course requirements.

  • Understand that scholarships are limited and applying does not guarantee an award.

  • The SOLE Institute reserves the right to request additional information if needed to determine eligibility.

2. Scholarship Award Structure

Scholarships may include:

  • Full Tuition Support

  • Partial Tuition Support (25%, 50%, or 75% assistance)

Scholarships:

  • Are applied directly to tuition and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another person.

  • Cannot be used for lodging, travel, food, or retreat costs, unless clearly stated otherwise.

  • Cannot be combined with other discounts unless approved in writing.

3. Student Responsibilities & Attendance

Scholarship recipients agree to:

  • Attend all required class hours, sessions, clinics, or retreats related to their program.

  • Actively participate in coursework, community practices, and group learning.

  • Show respectful behavior toward instructors, classmates, staff, and the space.

  • Complete homework, case studies, observations, or service hours if applicable.

  • Communicate promptly if an emergency impacts attendance.

Failure to meet participation standards or community agreements may result in dismissal and/or forfeiture of scholarship support.

4. Withdrawal, Cancellation & Loss of Scholarship

Recipients who withdraw or fail to complete their program without a documented emergency or approved special circumstance may:

  • Be required to repay all or part of the scholarship amount, or

  • Lose eligibility for future scholarships.

Scholarships may also be revoked if:

  • False or misleading information is found on the application.

  • Student behavior violates ethics, respect, safety, or community agreements.

  • The student repeatedly misses required class time or assignments.

Exceptions (e.g., illness, family emergency, financial crisis, medical needs) will always be handled with compassion and thoughtful consideration.

5. Funding & Community Support

  • Scholarships are funded by community donations and contributions from SOLE Institute.

  • All contributions are gifts, not legal grants, and are used to support student tuition.

  • At this time, scholarships and donations are not tax-deductible because SOLE Institute is not legally classified as a nonprofit organization.

  • 100% of donated funds go directly to tuition support and are not used for administrative costs.

6. Confidentiality & Privacy

All personal information shared in scholarship applications is kept confidential and viewed only by the scholarship committee or designated team members.

SOLE Institute does not share private financial, personal, or contact information without written consent.

With permission, students may be acknowledged publicly as scholarship recipients, but this is optional and not required.

7. Ethical & Community Alignment

Scholarship recipients are expected to uphold the values of SOLE Institute:

  • Integrity

  • Respect

  • Compassion

  • Accountability

  • Heart-centered learning and service

Students agree not to misrepresent their certification level, practice outside of ethical scope, or claim credentials they have not completed.

8. Approval & Agreement

Awarding of scholarships is at the discretion of SOLE Institute and depends on available funding, alignment, and timing. All decisions are final.

By signing below (digital or handwritten), the student acknowledges:

  • They have read and understand these terms.

  • They agree to follow these guidelines and commitments.

  • They understand that scholarships are a privilege funded by community support.
